Systems that do the work. And prove it.
Operanto builds software that watches, checks and acts on its own, and leaves a dated record of what it did. For businesses that want the repetitive task to disappear without the accountability disappearing with it.
What we do
Three ways to work with us, from a ready-made product to a system built for you. In all three, the same requirement: it runs without you, and you can prove what it did.
-
Automated monitoring products
Online services that check every day what no human will still be checking by week two: a stock, a contract, an invoice, the presence of what must be there. By subscription, with a dated report on every pass.
Subscription -
Custom automation
Integrations between your systems, data pipelines, AI agents fenced by deterministic rules. We deliver code you own, documented and tested, that fails loudly rather than silently.
Project -
Architecture and guardrails for AI
Already running agents or AI-generated code in production? We define what they are allowed to do, make it checkable in your pipeline, and review what they produced before it costs something.
Advisory
Products
Every Operanto product starts from the same observation: a daily obligation everyone treats as a yearly task. The first is in private beta. The next ones will follow the same logic.
Veilleur
Continuous monitoring of a website's French under Quebec's Charter of the French Language. It reads the site every morning in a real browser, finds what an inspector would find, and writes to you the day English comes back, with dated evidence.
See Veilleur, plans and FAQ →The next one
We are choosing the second product with our first customers: the task nobody watches in your business that is expensive when it fails. If you have one in mind, write to us.
Suggest a task →Under the hood
A deterministic pipeline, artificial intelligence at one single stage, and evidence at the end. It is the shape of everything we build, product or custom.
Collect
The system fetches reality itself: a site, an API, a file, an inbox.
Detect
Whatever a rule can decide, a rule decides. Reproducible, free to run, no model.
Correlate
Facts are put in relation: yesterday and today, the source and its copy, the rule and the case.
Rules
Named checks, a score capped per rule, evidence attached to every finding.
Judgement
Where judgement is needed a model steps in, fenced by a rubric, cached, reviewable.
Evidence
A dated report, a history, an alert when something changes, a gate in the pipeline.
How we work
Six rules we apply to ourselves before selling them to anyone.
Deterministic first
Anything that can be a rule is a rule: reproducible, tested, free to run. An AI model steps in only where judgement is needed, and its work is fenced, cached and reviewable.
Evidence, not a score
A number convinces no one and defends nothing. Every result we produce cites its source: the string, the element, the date. What we did not check is written down.
No false accusations
A system that is wrong against its own customer loses the only thing that matters, their trust. In doubt, we prefer a question to a finding.
Boring on purpose
A queue, a process, a database, logs. We choose the simplest part that carries the load, and replace it the day it no longer does. Not before.
Small, measured, reversible
An automation starts on a single task, with a number before and a number after. What does not hold up to the measurement is removed, with no debt left behind.
Code you own
What we build for you is yours: repository, documentation, tests. No disguised subscription, no depending on us to restart your own system.
About
Operanto is an automation studio founded in Montréal in 2026. The name comes from the Latin operari, to work, to make function, for that which operates by itself.
We build systems for organisations that have obligations: regulatory, contractual, operational. Obligations you cannot hand to an intern once a quarter, and should not hand to an AI without guardrails either.
Our first product came from a simple observation: a daily obligation that everyone treated as a yearly task. The next ones will follow the same logic: find the task nobody watches that is expensive when it fails.
Make businesses' repetitive tasks disappear without making the accountability that comes with them disappear. We build systems that do the work, and that can prove they did it.
Businesses where every daily obligation is held by a reliable system rather than by an overloaded person. In Quebec first, and for every task where a mistake costs more than vigilance.
Write to us
A task nobody should be doing by hand?
Describe it in three sentences. We answer within two business days, in French or English, and we will say plainly whether it is worth automating.
